Chris studied at the University of Vermont and the Mannes School of Music. He has performed and/or studied with jazz greats Phil Markowitz (Chet Baker, Sarah Vaughan, David Liebman); Ritchie Bierach (John Scofield, Wayne Shorter); and Ed Maceachen (Stanley Turentine, Wynton Marsalis) to name a few. Based in New York City, Chris has performed locally and nationwide for the past twenty-five years. Career highlights include recording on a CD to benefit Kosovo refugees and regularly playing NEA funded concerts with his band, The Midnight Experiment.
